The availability of good quality and good quantity water is essential for our operations. We use fresh water in various activities in our business areas, such as oil desalination, steam generation, towers and cooling systems, firefighting, and human consumption.
As a result, almost all of our activities generate some type of water effluent (industrial, sanitary, produced water and others). This way, in addition to being transversal topics, water resources and effluents are of strategic relevance for the sustainability of our businesses.
Our initiatives related to the management of water resources and effluents include:
