The Program is an initiative of Petrobras, in partnership with the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IFs), the Foundation for Support to IFSul (FAIFSul), and Firjan SENAI SESI. Its goal is to expand job opportunities for residents in areas affected by Petrobras operations by qualifying them through the offering of free courses.
In the next 4 years, approximately R$ 350 million will be invested in Federal Institutes and regional directories (DRs) of SENAI SESI for training professionals in the oil and gas sector in more than 40 municipalities located in the states of Pernambuco, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul.
Nearly 20,000 free spots will be offered in technical and professional qualification courses, with the minimum prerequisite for entry being the completion of Elementary School I – 1st to 5th grade or complete Elementary School, and subsequent technical courses for those who already have a High School diploma.
The Federal Institutes and Firjan SENAI SESI will announce all courses through specific notices published on this Portal and the institutions' websites (www.faifsul.org and firjan.com.br/responsabilidadesocial). Candidate selection will be conducted through an electronic lottery and announced on this Portal.

In addition to offering high-quality courses conducted at Federal Institutes and SENAI SESI, the program provides scholarships for students. The Autonomy and Income Program also includes Human Development (DH) workshops at the regional SENAI directories, a methodology by Firjan SESI, aimed at strengthening social competencies among participants, enhancing their employability potential. Federal Institutes will also offer childcare spaces for recreation and activity development for children while their guardians are in class.
